In most countries, yes. Homeowners’ associations must have a separate business bank account to keep track of all income and expenses. A personal account is therefore not sufficient.
For countries in which Informer Money is available, the following applies:
- VvE in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 : required.
- VME or ACP in Belgium 🇧🇪 : required.
- WEG in Germany 🇩🇪 : required.
- WEG in Austria 🇦🇹 : required.
Yes. You can grant each (board) member access to the account and define exactly what permissions they have. You can also create additional cards with budgets for board members, residents, or specific funds.
When the board changes, you can easily create new accounts for incoming board members and remove the accounts of those who are leaving. No paperwork and no hassle. This ensures the account always remains under the control of the HOA rather than an individual.
The fixed cost of an HOA account is €10 per month. In addition, there are variable fees depending on your usage (cards, payments, and withdrawals).
